probably will give up with all the experiments with linux on eten m800. Soon the Neo Freerunner will be available for around 400USD. This means I will have in the left pocket microsoft, and in the right pocket macrosoft
so far no concrete success…
- unfortunatelly the kernel from http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/EtenG500Home does not boot using haret, at least no output on the screen. I think the Eten G500 has a S3C2440 processor vs. SC32442 on m800
- tried to compile using patches from http://www.adilson.com.br/?p=157&langswitch_lang=pt but no success
- also tried http://linux.cybernet.net.ru/index.php/Linux/%D0%AF%D0%B4%D1%80%D0%BESC32442 that is a kernel for X500 (probably same arch as m800) … but again no success
any tips?
update: I found the following articles:
not officially yet announced but there are rumours about the new device… it will also feature dual sim… very practical.. buy a sim from at least 2 providers in your country and configure the calls to go through the right provider..
Most of the mobile-experiments I will gather with this device. I will write here all the pros/contras all the to do/not to dos etc.
